Andrew and Nicola Forrest founded Minderoo Foundation in 2001. They first supported Rock Art Australia in 2011. Since then Minderoo Foundation has supported the establishment of the Rock Art Australia Minderoo Chair in Archaeological Science at The University of Melbourne and a Rock Art Australia Research Fund has been established.

They are philanthropic leaders and strong community and arts supporters. They believe a collaborative approach encompassing the arts, education and health is essential to build sustainable empowerment in individuals and communities. They are passionate about rock art and support Rock Art Australia’s goals to research and protect it.
